Forecasting Tools

Our objective is to provide access to forecasting software tools that are optimized for a particular application rather than general purpose.  This has two benefits.  First, the model will be appropriate for the applications and second, you do not need to be a modelling expert to obtain good forecasts.  These tools have been developed by foreseechange.

Weekly Sales Forecasting Software models historical weekly sales and price data (at least 104 weeks data is required).  Future sales (up to 26 weeks) are forecast based on a user-supplied set of future prices.  This is a common forecasting problem for retailers and vendors.

The Growth software fits several growth models to time series data and forecasts future values.

Many decisions, including forecasts, are made on the basis of sample surveys.  Sampling Utility Software (SUS) works out the accuracy of sample survey results either after the event or in the planning stage.
